How to plan a long trip and try to follow it
I like to make plans drawing in a paper all the places where I can visit, watching a real map like Google maps and reading some blogs from people who made the same or parte of this trip. At the begining I just drow the most important cities then I was looking for more places between cities so I can make short travels by bus and visit that city too.
At the end this was my first map, original version.

My trip started in Punta Arenas, that is the last city in the south of Chile where I arrived by flight, from there I started my trip by bus, I went as far south as possible in Argentina to Ushuaia city and returned moving from one city to another moving from the south to the north until I reached to Santiago de Chile. The total trip lasted 1 month, traveling 11 cities, meeting many people on the road and learning from them, many experiences to tell.
My orignal map was changing, according to what I was finding on the way, adding or removing some stops, here I also leave the detailed map of the route from the first city to the end.
Traveling from Lima-Peru, I only had to wait an hour for the connection at the airport in Santiago de Chile to go to the next city Punta Arenas.

The other part of the trip was made by bus, there are several bus companies with different available timetables for each city you want to go , just need to check on their webpages (in some of them we can reserve or buy the tickets) or go to bus station.

On average I was staying 2 or 3 days in each city, it depended on the availability of buses to the next destination, places to visit in each city and an available house or hotel to stay for some days.
In the next posts I will write what I could find and visit in each city and some recommendations that can help you if you decide to visit these cities.
